WITS Labs Are Back
04/01/2017We’re excited for our third WITS labs of the school year, focusing on greens, dressings, and dips. Leafy greens are a good source of fiber (healthy tummy), Vitamin A (healthy eyes and skin), Vitamin K (strong bones), and antioxidants (healthy heart). Green vegetables keep our immune system strong and may reduce the risk of certain cancers. Locally grown greens are fresher, tastier, and better for our environment!
As a reminder, WITS Labs are hands-on cooking classes where the children learn about a seasonal ingredient and then prepare simple, healthy recipes. Those recipes will also be featured in the cafeteria throughout the school year. WITS Labs are taught to each individual class at Epiphany by our WITS Chefs.
