A Message from Thomas J. Gaffney

Chair, Foundation Board of Trustees

Dear Epiphany Families and Friends:

With the holidays already upon us and 2021 coming to a close, The Foundation shares in this season of joy and hope for the new year ahead!

This Fall, we had much to be thankful for with our strong Epiphany community and the success of our events. Thank you to all who joined virtually and took to the streets for our 12th Annual Walk. Through your participation we netted over $83,000 to support this year’s key initiatives: technology, enhanced programming, faculty support and tuition assistance. On November 30, we took part in #GivingTuesday, the international day of charitable giving. With the help of over 180 families, faculty, friends, alumni and matching gifts we raised over $88,000 in just one day for the Annual Fund!

In the new year, we look forward to the return of in-person celebrations! The 9th Annual Hall of Fame cocktail reception will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at The Yale Club NYC. We hope you will join us as we celebrate the dedication and achievements of our incredible honorees, Patti Gallagher, Beth Ann Janis and the memory of James P. Capuano, Class of 1973. We are also honoring our 2022 Joe Falzon Spirit of Volunteerism Awardee, Brian Flynn. For more information and to purchase tickets and/or journal ads please click here.

We are also excited for the return of the Spring Benefit to Guastavino’s on Thursday, March 24, 2022. If you are interested in learning more or want to attend the volunteer Zoom info session on January 5, 2022, please fill out the form HERE. Following the Spring Benefit, we look forward to seeing you on the course for the Annual Golf & Tennis Outing on Monday, May 16, 2022.

We would like to thank John Ivanac, Sara Mullen and Pamela Felenstein, for their years of service on the Board of Trustees. We welcome Allegra Driscoll (Hudson, Grade 2), John Godyn (John, Nursery, James, Pre-K), Jennifer Grogan, and Lindsay Litton (Brady, Toddler 2s, Felicity, Pre-K, Sienna, Grade 1, Parker, Grade 3) to the Board.

We are truly grateful for your continued support of The Epiphany School Foundation and hope to see you at an event this spring. Wishing you and yours the happiest of holidays & good health and prosperity in the new year!

Warmest Regards,
Thomas J. Gaffney
